Our Signature Mechanical Standing Seam System

Our 1" mechanical standing seam panel is built for people who want the best-looking metal roof — without the headaches that come with cheaper systems. It’s strong, flexible, low-profile, and engineered to handle everything from steep pitches to near-flat roofs using our advanced bending and no-cut fabrication methods.

Single-Lock or Double-Lock ------ Your Choice

Single-Lock (90°)

  • Clean, crisp lines with a slightly softer profile

  • Ideal for siding or accents where a tight mechanical seal isn’t required

  • Fast, secure installation while still offering excellent weather protection

Double-Lock (180°)

  • Maximum strength and weather resistance

  • Perfect for low-slope or exposed locations

  • Creates a beautifully smooth, continuous seam when fully rolled

Why Mechanical Standing Seam?

Most metal panels snap together — ours lock together.
A mechanical seam forms a watertight, structural connection that outperforms snap-lock in durability, wind resistance, and lifespan. It’s the system architects choose when they want the roof to last longer than the building.

Built for Almost Any Roof (Even Low-Slope)

Thanks to our custom tools and no-cut bending techniques, this panel can be used on roofs that would normally require membrane systems. We can form watertight transitions, parapet details, and low-pitch tie-ins that other companies can’t replicate.

Thickness Options for Any Project

  • 24-gauge steel for maximum rigidity and premium performance

  • 26-gauge steel for lighter projects or budget-conscious builds
Both options come with high-quality paint finishes designed for Canadian weather.

More Than a Roof - A Design Element

Our 1" panel isn’t just for roofing. It can be used for:

  • Modern vertical or horizontal siding

  • Accent walls

  • Gables and architectural features

  • Porches, awnings, and canopies

The clean lines and tight seam make it perfect for both modern and traditional designs.

Optional Bead Ribs for Extra Strength

For projects that benefit from extra panel stiffness, we offer bead ribs (stiffening flutes) as an optional upgrade. These subtle formed lines help reduce oil-canning and improve rigidity, making them a smart choice for wider panels or areas with strong sun exposure.

Sized for Flexibility

The standard width is 16 inches, but we can adjust the panel width for special designs or tricky transitions. Everything is custom-cut and fabricated on-site for a perfect fit.

We fabricate every panel on-site with professional roll formers and precision bending tools, allowing us to create custom widths, specialty seams, architectural panels, and complex shapes that perfectly fit your project.

Colour Options

We manufacture all panels using premium pre-painted steel from Cascadia Metals, available in a wide range of long-lasting architectural finishes. Each colour series offers different benefits depending on the look and performance you want:

1. Signature Series — PVDF Coating *Premium Upgrade*
High-performance PVDF paint system with superior colour retention and durability. Excellent for modern homes, coastal environments, and projects that demand long-term fade resistance.

2. Classic Series — SMP Coating
A durable and cost-effective Siliconized Polyester (SMP) finish. These traditional colours offer reliable protection and great value for most residential applications.

3. Printed Series — PVDF Coating *Premium Upgrade*
Specialty woodgrain and pattern finishes with PVDF protection. Ideal for accent walls, siding features, and projects that need a premium textured look with top-tier UV resistance.

4. Text Series — SMP Textured Finish (Most Popular)
Matte, low-gloss, textured colours that help reduce visible oil-canning while delivering a clean architectural appearance. A favourite choice for standing seam roofing.
